Insurance Requirements

Our company policy and our lease agreement require that all tenants have a renter’s insurance policy in place at all times. In addition to this, there are a few specific criteria that are required on each policy.

Tenant Insurance Requirements:

RE/MAX Alliance MUST be listed an “interested party”
Policy must have $300K in personal liability Coverage ($500K for homes with pools)
All parties on the lease must be shown either on one policy or on separate policies

Pet Policies

Because our office specializes in residential rentals, each homeowner has a different opinion on taking pets. Before bringing a pet into your rental home, you will need to get written permission to do so. We require a pet addendum for each approved pet and a deposit. A pet deposit for most pets is $350, but can be higher in some cases. In addition to permission from the owner and a pet addendum, a pet deposit is due for each approved pet. This is collected by certified funds prior to the pet’s occupancy. Some owners will also require monthly pet rent. If there are community rules and regulations for the neighborhood that you are living in, we will need to be sure to comply with those standards as well.

Our lease allows for a $100.00 fee for each month that an unauthorized pet was present in the home. Please be sure that you follow the pet policies and get approval before bringing a pet into your rental home.
